Movies Group

Our members meet on the 4th or last Tuesday morning of each month to enjoy a stimulating and entertaining film, usually showing at the Academy Gold Cinema based at The Colombo mall in Sydenham.
I send out an email to all the members several days beforehand informing them of my selections. There are always at least 2 and even 3 films to choose from, usually screening at about the same time, in order to appeal to as many members as possible.
I encourage members to meet for a coffee and discussion at the cafe next door to share what we liked or disliked about our choice of film.
I welcome input from members as to the kinds of films they enjoy, and any preferred venues, in order to grow the Group’s membership.
There are more than 20 members in the Movies Group, although the actual number of members actually coming to screenings are somewhat fewer than that.
